One of the most enjoyable restaurant experiences you'll have in the county. We predict this restaurant could even be named in Air Canada's Top 10 Best New Restaurants 2019!

Prince Edward Platter

If you're looking for a crazy unforgettable meal that will have you feeling like a complete baller (in your head, because saying that out loud is frowned upon), make your way over to Flame + Smith in Bloomfield, PEC. The food served here is mostly wood-fired and cooked over a 60-inch Argentinian grill, which is what they're most known for. If you are aware of this style of cooking, then you know that it's difficult as hell and a total pain in the ass, but the unique food flavours created by wood-fire cooking is what makes the process worth it for chefs, restaurateurs, and of course, the customers who eat it.

Whether you're visiting Flame + Smith for after work drinks and apps, or you actually still love your partner and plan a romantic anniversary dinner, this restaurant has an ambiance that fits well with any occasion. A large, round bar fills the room and catches your eye immediately. There is a stunning selection of wine, cocktails and other adult beverages to pair well with each dish. An open kitchen with a chef's table allows a view of the entire preparation, cooking and serving of the food. Just make sure you don't talk to the chefs. They won't tell you this, but it's probably the most annoying thing you can do while someone is working within a strict time frame over a hot grill. You will also notice legs of lamb, or steak hanging near the fire, slowly heating the meat with its smoke and flames. Just sitting in the restaurant is an experience itself, with beautiful views both inside and outside of the restaurant, located near a farm.

The food at Flame + Smith is one-of-a-kind in Bloomfield. From wood-fire veggie dishes, to big ass steaks that feed 3-4 people at a time, their menu has something for everyone. Make sure you save room for dessert! Who are we kidding. You'll probably be ridiculously full, but you'll order dessert anyway because the dessert menu is just as impressive as the mains. It's the perfect sweet finish to a well seasoned meal. We recommend you order the Cote de Boeuf to share family-style with friends or family.
